Energymanager.com was incorporated in March, 2005 to establish and operate a website that provides customers ways to analyze and understand their energy bills. With energy being the third leading cost for most businesses after materials and labor, any potential bill reduction can positively impact a company's bottom line. Electric bills have become so complicated many rate schedules now require over 200 individual calculations! It is nearly impossible for a customer to analyze their own bills. Energymanager.com enables customers to make informed decisions regarding energy usage, which can result in significant savings.

The website was developed by converting the BEARS© software to the internet. BEARS© was created by Michael Brakey and was copyrighted in 2002. The software has been used both internally and externally by Brakey Energy, Inc. and its clients. After obtaining the rights to BEARS©, the creators of energymanager.com sought to preserve all the key features of the software which had made it a success while making it more accessible and user-friendly.
